Jewish Family & Children's Service is a non-profit counseling and service agency thst strengthens individuals and families in the entire community by empowering people to care for themselves and each other.  This is accomplished through a wide range of high quality, client-centered behavioral health, advocacy, and support services for children, adults, and families through all stages of life.In combining contemporary clinical skills with the Jewish values of charity, righteousness and compassion, Jewish Family and Children's Service strengthens and enhances life for area families dealing with serious and often calamitous events.

JFCS is looking for a volunteer intern to work as a Program Assistant/Counselor to assist with the "Kosher Cafe", a lunch program for seniors. Responsibilities include serving food, presenting occasional social and educational programs, and 1 on 1 interaction with participants as needed. 

JFCS is also looking for a volunteer intern to serve as a Program Assistant for Project Highgate.  The intern would assist in planning and implementing programs for seniors living in an apartment building.

Both positions are available year-round.
