Congressman Rush Holt is offering internship opportunities for students at his Princeton, New Jersey office.  Intern positions are unpaid and are available for the winter, spring, and summer.  Interested parties should be well-organized individuals who are able to take initiative, follow instructions, perform well under pressure and relate well with others.  Because of the busy nature of a Congressional office, it is also important that interns possess a mature, professional manner.  Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the functions of the House of Representatives and the Congressman's work in representing the 12th Congressional District of New Jersey.  Interns will become involved with the following:

Case Work review and follow-up

Medicare/Medicaid

Immigration

Affordable Housing

Veterans Affairs

Military Issues

Researching a variety of issues

The office is willing to work with students' busy schedules, but preference may be given to candidates who can work at least 7 hours per week.  This is an unpaid internship, but students may receive credit.

** It is strongly recommended that interested students review the following website: www.holt.house.gov to review the Congressman's position on issues.**
