Mobile Meals of Trenton/Ewing is committed to providing nutritious meals and services which are designed to promote the independence, dignity, health and well-being of our customers.  The meals are delivered by volunteers to participants whose physical, mental or social condition requires home delivered meal service.  These diverse participants will be Greater Trenton Area residents who are homebound, chronically ill, convalescent, or physically or mentally challenged.  It is anticipated that the majority of those eligible will be sixty years or older.

Position: Research
Responsibilities/ Job Requirements:
    The intern would work with the Executive Director in researching and writing grant applications.  Research would cover areas including statistics on senior populations in the Greater Trenton Area, prevalence of certain illnesses such as diabetes, heart conditions, kidney failure and arthritis, poverty among homebound and need for food stamps as well as availability of grants.  The Intern would research foundations and corporations that provide grants for programs providing services for the aging population.

Position: Non- Profit Administration
Responsibilities/ Job Requirements:
    The Intern would work to gain experience in running a not for profit agency by observing, assisting and working with all members of staff including the Executive Director, Director of Volunteers, Director of Client Services and Administrative Assistant as well as the treasurer and accountant.  The intern would have the opportunity to attend Board and Committee meetings and meetings involving the Directors of other agencies in the community.

Position: Marketing

Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

    The Intern would work with staff and the publicity committee in developing marketing strategies for all media based on research of community resources and agency needs.  The focus would include but not be limited to recruiting volunteers, raising public support, and advertising the program to potential clients.  The intern would help to develop press releases, brochures, and represent the agency at community fairs, work places, and community organizations to generate support.

Position: Computer Programmer

Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

    The Intern would work with the administrative assistant in developing a program on Access for tracking giving on our annual campaign.  The student would also work with the directors in developing programs for a volunteer skill bank, client statistics and surveys.
